The baseball team is back on track with a win against Heritage High School. “The game went well, the boys played exactly how I wanted them to play and it’s a great way to get back to winning,” head coach Scott McGarrh said.

The brief losing streak is over as the baseball team snapped a two game skid on Tuesday with a 12-1 win over Heritage High School to move the Redhawks District 10-5A record to 3-2.

“The game went well, the boys played exactly how I wanted them to play and it’s a great way to get back to winning,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We hit them with scoring early, which put all the pressure on them, which is what we’ve been preaching in practice, so it was nice to see it be put in effect.”

Pitching was the name of the game on Tuesday, as junior Brady Miller pitched the first four innings, only giving up one hit, one run, and two walks.

“It was a great feeling pitching up a game like that after our last 2 games,” Miller said. “Definitely a great confidence boost and a standard for how I should usually be pitching.”
