The playoff window is closing fast for baseball with only one game left in the season. After a recent loss, the team is hoping to bounce back with one final effort.

The Redhawks are having a tough time booking their ticket to playoffs as they didn’t get it done against Centennial High School Monday at The Nest, losing 4-3 and dropping to 5-6 in District 10-5A.

“We got back to who we are as a team a little last night, which is a better sign after last week’s games,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “We’ll be working extra hard all week to iron out as much as we can, and go out there and deliver a performance we can be proud of.”

With this loss and only one game left in the season, the Redhawks have put themselves in a dire, win-or-go-home situation to make the playoffs.

“We need to be able to execute in any moment, big or small, and show up in the best form possible for us,” senior Preston Defferding. “There’s only one objective left for us now, and that’s to win.”
