A group of four baseball players took in some minor league baseball at Dr. Pepper Ballpark this week, seeing first hand what it takes to become a professional baseball player.

“It’s always crazy to go watch minor league baseball,” senior Davis Delich said. “You see the talent those guys have, and it makes you realize how difficult it is to play at the major league level.”

Senior Jacob Daddario was in awe of the mechanics that the minor leaguers use and how good they are.

“It’s always cool to see how hard players minor leaguers can hit the ball,” Daddario said. “It gives you a real sense of the difference in talent between us and them.”

For these four players, an outing to watch the RoughRiders will help further the friendship and bond the players have which will be essential heading into the playoffs.

“Sometimes people think minor league games are boring,” senior Eric Yoon said. “But baseball is baseball and being with your friends is what makes the games fun.”
