Battling to the end, the Redhawks volleyball team defeated the Reedy Lions 3-2 in a non-district contest Tuesday at The Nest.
“The team did a good job of battling until the last point,” head volleyball coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We had some moments that weren’t great, but we pulled it together in the end and did a good job working as a team to win.”
Adding Reedy to their long list of non-district wins, junior Sophia Hung has high hopes for the team moving forward.
“Our team has a lot of great talent and we are a very good team,” she said. “Once all the puzzle pieces are put together and peak, I feel like we have a very good chance of going far in playoffs.”
But with the entire District 10-5A schedule yet to be played, the team is still a work in progress according to Hung.
“As of right now we still need to work on being confident,” she said. “We need to know that we are a good team.
