The Redhawk volleyball team hopes to move to 2-0 in District 6-5A play when they travel to take on the Heritage Coyotes on Tuesday.
“We hope to win and play really clean defensively tonight,” head gcoach Eighmy Dobbins said. “Heritage has improved from last year, and they do a good job of keeping the ball live.”
Heritage is currently sitting 0-1 in district play after losing to Independence on Friday, but that doesn’t mean the Redhawks are underestimating them.
“Volleyball isn’t played on paper,” junior Brooklyn Brown said. “Yes, we might currently have a better record than them, but we’re only one game into districts. Who knows, if they show up to play, then they could be real competition.”
