Saturday marks the district meet for Model UN at Grand Prairie High School. “The basis of MUN is that you’re preparing something about your country’s stance on a certain topic - it’s a mock United Nations,” undersecretary of conference and delegate trainer sophomore Jiya Sharma said.

Tennis clinches a playoff spot after a victory over Walnut Grove Wednesday. “It was a huge win,” head tennis coach William Davis said.

After their Tuesday afternoon match against the Walnut Grove Wildcats was delayed due to storms, the tennis team (4-1) snatched a 13-6 victory on Wednesday, gaining playoff eligibility.

“It was a huge win,” head tennis coach William Davis said. “There was amazing effort from our group.”

Freshman Ethan Tjong echoes this sentiment, while noting that there is still room for the players to improve.

“I feel like we did well as many of our teammates clutched up on close matches,” Tjong said. “However, I think that we need to improve on team spirit early in the match.”
