Guest contributer Mikya Irvin takes a look at a unique Frisco breakfast spot. Whether it be breakfast bagels, lunch bagels, or pastries, Bagelology Bagels & Coffee is the place to go,

From breakfast bagels, lunch bagels, and pastries, Bagelology Bagels & Coffee in Frisco is unlike most cafes in the area.

Walking in, customers are welcomed with a greeting and the warm smell of fresh bagels and coffee. The store has a modern and chic look but also includes a pattern flooring. There is also a wall of pictures that include the owners family and also an inspirational quote in the middle.

Their bagels have a wide variety of flavors and so does their cream cheese spreads. Some of their bagel flavors include Everything, Pumpernickel, Garlic, and Cinnamon Raisin. The spread flavors include Avocado, PB&J, Cheddar Jalapeno, Chocolate Chip, and more. Every one of them comes toasted, cut, and if a spread is chosen, then a nice dollop of that.

With all that, they also have breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches that have special names to them. This includes the B.E.C, Go-Getter, Anami Pastrami, and Errr-Thing In The Kitchen. The bagels used for these vary to the customers liking and can mix and match.

Their French Toast bagel is a take on the delicious sweet breakfast item but in a bagel form. The bagel itself is light and fluffy and melts with every bite. It has the perfect amount of sweetness to it and captures the cinnamon taste actual french toast has. This bagel also includes powdered sugar on top which makes it have the perfect crisp on top.

The Mama Z’s Turkey bagel is a great choice for a simple but tasty lunch sandwich. This includes turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, mayo, and their special vinaigrette. It’s a pretty hefty bagel and has a consistent amount of ingredients inside. The vinaigrette isn’t too powerful and adds a nice savory taste.

The only downside is the pastries, the Blueberry Muffin was kind of dry and bitter. If it just had a little more moisture and sweetness, then it would’ve been perfect. The blueberries were crisp and added a good texture throughout the muffin.

However, the bagels are what Bagelology is all about, and ultimately they make this a place to visit.
