With spring here, many school programs are taking trips as a reward for the work students have put in throughout the year. For band, a spring trip is an annual event but due to their trip in December to Chicago, this year they are having something of a staycation Friday and Saturday as well as May 6-7.

The trips include a free movie night in the auditorium, an all night lock-in at Main Event for $50, Wicked for $40 and a Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert for $10. All events are optional, so students can pick which ones they would like to attend.

“I think it’s a good option for families who have multiple kids in band who don’t want to pay as much,” junior Summer Tribble said. “It saves money for both the people who went to Chicago and for people who have multiple students in band.”
