Following last week’s season-worst defeat against the Lebanon Trail Blazers (5-1), the Redhawks tennis team (4-2) seeks a win against the #1 state-ranked Centennial Titans (6-0) Tuesday at 4 p.m.
“Our group knows what a victory would mean and what’s at stake,” head tennis coach William Davis said. “If we win, we’ll be that much closer to accomplishing our season goals.”
Junior Hailey Zhang acknowledges that the Redhawks face an uphill battle, but believes that they could take advantage of their opponent.
“They’re really strong, but I feel like our record and place in the standings makes us the underdog, so I think they’re going to underestimate us,” Zhang said. “We could still get a win.”
