Halloween is just around the corner and the day offers a variety of to celebrate that make it many people’s favorites. From costumes to candy, there is something for everyone.
Some costumes you can expect to see a lot of this year are Barbie, Spiderman, and Wednesday Addams. Barbie and Spiderman are fun because there are so many variations to the characters. After the release of Barbie in July, people have Weird Barbie, President Barbie, Traditional Barbie, and more to choose from. The same is for Spiderman. People have many Spidermen (and women) to dress up as because of the release of Spiderman Across the Spider-Verse in Jun.
I am not a fan of scary movies, but there are several new horror and thrillers movies out now in time for Halloween. The Exorcist: Believer, Saw X, A Haunting in Venice, and Five Nights at Freddy’s are all in theaters now. I saw A Haunting in Venice which is based on the book Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie. This murder mystery was entertaining but a little too eerie for my taste. To celebrate Halloween I prefer heartwarming comedies like Hubie Halloween and It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
Although costumes and movies are fun, candy is definitely my favorite part of Halloween. Every year following Halloween I consume far too much candy. I go as far to steal my little sister’s candy that she got trick-or-treating.
However you decide to celebrate it this year, have a happy Halloween!
