Rin Ryu, Staff Reporter

Rin Ryu is a sophomore, starting her first year of Wingspan. After becoming an active member of Diversify Our Narrative FISD, she has found a passion for speaking on social and political issues. In her free time, she can be found attempting to play one of the three instruments in her room. Rin is excited to see what her first year of Wingspan will bring.

Tuesday is Lunar New Year, one of the most important holiday especially for East Asians. Many students on campus are also celebrating this year. “Lunar New Year is a time when me and my family can celebrate just being able to be a family together,” sophomore Nathan Permana said. “I’ve always enjoyed being able to wake up and eat really good traditional New Year’s food.”
