The Board of Trustees is having their monthly meeting Tuesday. They plan to recognize the Redhawk girls’ basketball team for their win at the state championship, along with several other agenda items.

The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees held their March meeting on Monday.

Future-ready skills were highlighted at the meeting, focusing on positive culture and what it looks like for students and staff.

Additionally, the FISD Visual and Performing Arts Center was discussed, including the guaranteed maximum price and guiding visions for the facility. The center will be used to expand on future-ready learning, student opportunities, collaborative performances, UIL, and more.

Revisions to the Dual-Credit Program were discussed, recommending a revision to Policy EIC (Local), which deals with student GPA. The policy committee proposed to weigh Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual-Credit Program classes on the same scale to expand opportunities for students and encourage students to graduate from FISD with college credit. If approved, these changes would apply to the class of 2030 and beyond.

Regular topics like budgeting were also briefed.

A recording of Monday’s meeting is available at friscoisd.org.
