Half days in Frisco ISD are pretty rare, but this school year ends with three straight half days.
With district graduations Wednesday through Friday, all high schools will end at 1 p.m.
On Wednesday and Thursday, each class will be approximately 56 minutes with students going to their typical A and B day schedule.
On the last day, students will go to all 8 of their classes for 25 minutes each.
“Thought process behind that on that very last day, to kind of give y’all the chance to see all your teachers one last time before the school year ends,” assistant principal Richard Sabatier said. “And the reason why it’s staggered with the two first periods at the beginning, two fourth periods at the end, is to accommodate students who have early release and late arrival.”
It’s a new schedule and for freshman Shravan Sethuraman it seems like it’s a good idea.
“ I think it’ll be interesting ’cause it’ll be like 20 minutes of class,” Sethuraman said. “But I think it’s a pretty good idea ’cause we get to say bye to all our teachers one last time.”
