In their final District 10-5A game of the season, the Redhawks volleyball team (13-0) hits the road to play the second place (10-3) Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
“I’m not nervous because I know if we just do our job and do what we need to do we will beat them really fast,” sophomore Jadien Harris said. “We watch so much film so we know every single one of their players, so we know their strengths and weaknesses.”
Sitting directly behind the Redhawks in the standings, assistant volleyball coach Taylor Ruesch believes the Trail Blazers will come in hot with confidence.
“I think they’re gonna have a lot of confidence thinking they can take a set from us because we have given a few sets to other teams,” she said. “And since they’re right behind us in rank I think they will come in with some false confidence.”
With the Redhawks having already clinched the district championship and the number one seed from District 10-5A, assistant coach Callie White believes the team needs to remain calm.
“We’re just looking forward to playoffs right now,” White said. “So putting each game as taking one game at a time, and preparing ourselves for playoffs by putting forth a good effort every single time.”
