One game away from District 10-5A play, the Redhawks girls’ soccer team drew to Princeton Tuesday. “We held on to the ball very well, we defended very well,” head coach Kyle Beggs said.

After tying Princeton on Tuesday, 0-0, girls’ soccer now only has one more match left until District 10-5A play begins.

“We held on to the ball very well, we defended very well,” head coach Kyle Beggs said. “Preventing them from scoring always gives you a chance to win the game. We had our chances and we just we’ve found some stuff that we need to work on.”

Even though the team wasn’t able to find the back of the net, scoring goals against was important to sophomore Caitlyn Ruback.

“I’m excited that we didn’t let our opponent score any goals,” Ruback said. “I think the team as a whole played really well together and fought hard for the tie.”
