District 10-5A play begins next Tuesday, and boys’ soccer has one last tournament to prepare. “It is our last preparation before district and it’s a tournament, which is always exciting,” junior David Verduzco said.

It’s yet another tournament weekend for boys’ soccer as they compete in the Melisia tournament Thursday through Saturday. But these games are different, as they will be the last few matchups for the boys’ before district play starts Tuesday.

“I am looking forward to the Melissa tournament because it is our last preparation before district and it’s a tournament, which is always exciting,” junior David Verduzco said.

Dealing with multiple injuries throughout the preseason, head coach Evan McGee hopes the team does not accumulate any more injuries over the weekend.

“We’re a little bit more concerned about people getting injured,” Mcgee said. “A lot of people are playing, and we want to be rested and ready for the kickoff of the season next Tuesday.”
