With bids to state on the line, the Redhawks swim team competes in the district at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium on Friday and Saturday.

The Redhawk swim and dive team competes in the district meet Friday and Saturday at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium with the aim of securing regional placements for as many of its athletes as possible.

“Team spirit is high for this event because we have been training all year,” head coach Zachariah Gnoza said. “We are one of the fastest districts in the state, but I just want everyone to have fun and give it their all. We have a great mindset coming in and as long as we keep that up, the kids will perform well. We will focus on one event at a time and keep pushing forward until the end.”

Freshman Vir Gandhi is confident in his team’s ability to succeed.

“I am really excited for this event,” Gandhi said. “I think we will at least be able to make regionals with the relays and some individual events.”
