After both teams fell to Memorial Tuesday at Toyota Stadium, soccer will continue their search for their first District 10-5A wins.
The girls lost 2-0 to the Warriors, as the team is still struggling to find the back of the net.
“They were just a very good team,” junior Bella Marroquin said. “I mean they are now 3-0 in district and are first in our district.”
Having a closer match, the boys lost 2-1. Rather than a struggle against Memorial, the boys’ team had more of a battle with the referees according to junior Hector Jenkins.
“We had two missed calls that should have provided us an opportunity to score,” Jenkins said. “There was a handball inside their box, and then they had a high kick that should have been called against them.”
