Competing in the first round of playoffs against Wakeland, the Redhawks boys’ soccer team fell 4-0 to the Wolverines. “At the start, we kept up the intensity very well, but the game eventually slipped and was mostly controlled by Wakeland,” junior David Verduzco said.

Soccer took on Lebanon Trail on Friday, while the girls couldn’t find success losing 6-1, the boys’ flourished wining 2-0.

“We need to stop getting so beat up when we fall behind,” junior Lily Gibbons said. “Once we start messing up we get really hard on ourselves.”

Starting off their season 0-3, the boys have made a comeback. Since their win against Indepependce, the Redhawks have kept a clean sheet building a three game win streak.

“We have been playing a lot better because our defense has been doing really well lately,” junior Hector Jenkinson said. “We haven’t conceded a goal in three games, and that has really helped with our confidence.”
