Soccer took on Heritage on Friday, with both teams falling to the Coyotes for the second time this season. Although a loss on both ends, the teams found learning experiences and success in some areas.

Another tough night for Redhawks soccer with both losing to the Heritage Coyotes on Friday. Even though a 1-0 loss, the boys put up better results only allowing one goal rather than two when they first faced off.

“Something we did well was our defensive display,” junior David Verduzco said. “The game felt more organized this time around.”

The girls lost 3-0, with senior Cate Butcher finding the team needs to work on their offensive game.

“The midfield could’ve stayed connected a bit more so we could work the ball together to Heritage’s final third,” Butcher said. “But we worked it up to get a couple shots off.”
