Taking on the Emerson Mavericks on Tuesday, the Redhawks soccer teams hope to find success on the pitch. The boys celebrate their seniors, while the girls are in need of a win.

Soccer takes the pitch Friday to take on Heritage with both teams looking for revenge against the Coyotes having previously lost to them earlier in the season.

“We need to work together on the field and play as a team,” senior Mikya Irwin said. “If everyone gives 100% effort and takes more shots at goal, then we have a better chance at winning.”

While the girls’ chances of playoffs are gone, the boys’ are still in the mix. Senior Ryan Lee believes a win tonight is crucial.

“I hope that getting a good result today will help give us momentum for our playoff push,” Lee said. “We have got to finish the chances we create and stay strong defensively.”
