Aspiring educators from around the area will be able to learn more about Frisco ISD at the district’s job fair Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. at Lebanon Trail High School,
First-year teacher Grayson Moore knows first hand how a job fair can benefit candidates.
“There was a job fair I went to at Tech, which had a ton of Texas schools, and that’s where I talked to someone from Frisco ISD,” Moore said. “But then they invited me to a job fair here, and I got to tour three of the schools in the district and meet the representatives of all the high schools and that kind of thing.”
After attending the job fair, Moore had a good impression of FISD due to the fair’s accommodating organizers.
“I really liked how welcoming the HR Department was,” Moore said. “There was a time right after the job fair was over where if you hadn’t already had an interview or scheduled an interview, there was a lady that met us outside and got our email from us, and sent all of us a step-by-step plan on how to get an interview, [as well as] who to email as far as schools go. After that happened, I had 7 or 8 emails from different schools asking me to interview. So, that’s what I really enjoyed: [them] really wanting you to find a place in the district no matter what your speciality was or what age group you wanted to work with.”
