Track and Field competed in the Little Elm Lobo Relays on Saturday with multiple top finishes. “I believe we did really well as a team, being able to have better placements collectively,” sophomore Caityln Rubback said.

The Running Redhawks brought home multiple first place finishes and 7 podium finishes at the Little Elm Lobo Relays.

“The weather was finally good, which definitely helped the kids compete harder,” head girls’ coach Khera Vay said. “We had multiple season bests and PRs.”

The team’s top results ranged from freshmen to seniors with sophomore Caitlin Ruback among them.

“I believe we did really well as a team, being able to have better placements collectively,” Ruback said. “This meet really helped the team push and strive to be better, especially with districts coming up.”

Vay agrees with Ruback that the weekend was a success, and they hope to continue their success at the District 10-5A Championships meet April 2-3.

“I believe this meet built the confidence we needed to run hard going into the district meet,” Vay said.
