Before district competition on April 25, the Redhawks tennis team wraps up its tournament season at Heritage Friday, looking to continue the success from their previous tournaments.
“Our varsity group is really looking forward to Friday, especially coming off such a successful tournament last week at Rock Hill,” assistant coach Neil Grobler said. “This will be our final tournament prior to the year-end district tournament [so] the Heritage tournament will provide us with some valuable insight on our strengths and weaknesses going into districts.”
Returning to the court after several injuries, sophomore Avani Chinwan is excited for what this tournament holds.
“I finally get to play [again] since my injuries have almost healed and are much better now,” Chinwan said. “This time the competition is also great and the tournament is single-elimination which makes it more challenging and fun.”
