One week left, two games, and district standings at stake and playoff bids are on the line. The Redhawks baseball team enters its final week of District 10-5A play Tuesday taking on Centennial. With a four way tie for third place, the Redhawks need a win in order to advance to playoffs.
“Today is a great day to get better,” head coach Scott McGarrh said. “Let’s prepare well and let’s go see what happens. Centennial is a very good team, they’re kind of a [toss-up]. They’re very well coached, [and] they’re very similar to us. But they got a few more seniors that have been doing a little bit longer, so we’re gonna have to play well.”
Junior Jack Moran believes the Redhawks must start off strong, to finish with a win.
“We need to come in with high intensity and come off hot at the start of the inning,” Moran said.
