Closing out District 10-5A season with a record of 7-7, the Redhawks will now advance to playoffs. Their final game was held Thursday against the Titians, with the Redhawks achieving a 2-0 victory.

In the final game of District 10-5A baseball play, the Redhawks were in desperate need of a win against the Centennial Titans as only a victory would put the team in the playoffs. With a score of 2-0, it was mission accomplished as the Redhawks overcame the Titans and finishing third in the final district standings.

“It was a close game,” sophomore Nick Smith said. “In the end, we shut them out and did what we had to do.”

Earlier in the week the Redhawks lost 11-0 to the Titans, adding an extra layer of pressure to Thursday’s win.

“We knew we could beat them, we had just had an off game,” senior Tommy Carter said. “We hadn’t played good baseball in a while. We locked in though and now we’re in.”

The Redhawks open the first round of the playoffs against Lone Star
