Frisco ISD Board of Trustees Place 7:
Keith Maddox won the race for one of two open seats on the Frisco ISD Board of Trustees according to unofficial results. With all precincts reporting in Collin and Denton counties, Maddox has 8,353 votes, or 63.57%. Melanie Barrios-Jones, the other candidate for the seat, had 4,786 votes, or 36.43%.
“Thank you so much for your support,” Maddox said to Community Impact. “I am always open and transparent and look forward to working with [the FISD community] and working with the superintendent and the entire structure to do what we can for the students of Frisco ISD.”
Frisco ISD Board of Trustees Place 6:
Sherrie Salas has won the second open seat on the Frisco ISD board of trustees, according to unofficial results.
All election day precincts reported from Denton and Collin counties, and Salas has 7,049 votes, or 55.51%. Fred Kaiser had 5,649 votes, or 44.49% of votes.
Frisco City Council Place 1:
John Keating, the incumbent, won the race for Place 1 with 59.4% of the vote, 8.334 votes, according to unofficial results.
His opponent, Mark Piland, had 40.6% of the vote.
Frisco City Council Place 3:
Angelia Pelham, the incumbent for Place 3, won with 64.5% of the vote, or 8,963 votes.
John Redmond, the second candidate for Place 3, 4,941 votes, which was 35.5% of the vote.
