For their first away game of the regular season, the volleyball team heads to Dallas to take on the Hockaday School Killer Daisies.
After a 3-1 victory over McKinney North Aug. 13, Redhawks volleyball seeks to keep their momentum going as they travel to Dallas Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a match against the Hockaday School Killer Daisies.
“We want to be really aggressive defensively and offensively we want to be smart with our shot selection,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We are in the process of becoming a defensively scrappy team [and] Hockaday has some big hitters so we are hoping to do a good job defending their favorite shots. [Overall we’re] excited [because] of our success last Tuesday and ready to see the girls compete again.”
Junior Jaiden Harris agrees that scrappiness could be the Redhawks’ key to success in this match.
“Individually I want to be a great defender and get the ball up and playable when I get hit at,” Harris said. “As a team I feel like our goal is to play consistently and be the scrappier team.”
