The Redhawks boys’ basketball team (12-6) tips off district play with a home rivalry game against the Centennial Titans (10-5) Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
“We’ve been using our scouts extensively going into districts just to get a feel for what [Centennial’s] strengths and weaknesses are,” assistant coach Robert Wilson said. “We’re trying to limit the amount of opportunities for them and have been working on correcting some of our mistakes from previous games in practice.”
Junior Gilbert Aluga does not seem cornered about the competition the Redhawks will face heading into districts
“There’s really no reason to be nervous, like I have a lot of confidence in our team,” Aluga said. “I really want to get the win, but we also need to work on correcting our small mistakes and if those don’t get in our way we’ll be fine.”
