With the wrestling season coming to an end soon, 15 seniors on the team were honored Wednesday at The Nest before their matches against Prosper and Burleson Centennial.
“Senior night went pretty well for our wrestlers. Obviously some of them weren’t there to compete so the ones that did were doing it for those who couldn’t make it,” boys’ coach Justin Koons said, “We competed well overall but the main goal was to let the seniors have a night and have a good time.”
Facing off against two non-district teams, including the #24 ranked 6A team in Texas (Prosper), the competition was tough according to senior William Randolph, but his focus was enjoying his night.
“Everyone did good even though the competition was a little tough,” Randolph said. “My match went well but I mainly focused on enjoying my night since I wont get another senior night.”
