Just like Dracula, HOSA want your blood. Thursday marked the second Carter Blood Drive at the Nest to provide students a more accessible path to donating blood.
Potentially saving a life may be motivation enough, but there is an additional incentive for seniors. Seniors who have donated blood twice are eligible to receive a cord at graduation.
“For the graduation cord, you can volunteer twice, donate twice, or try to donate twice,” HOSA president Tarak Oak said. “One donation can save up to three lives.”
Students who want to date need to be at least 16 years old, have a signed permission slip, and weight at least 110 pounds.
