Soccer did not get the results they were looking for Friday as both teams lost to the Heritage Coyotes.
“Something our team did well was encouraging each other and communicating on the field,” freshman Madison Dixon said.
The girls had trouble finding the back of the net, not capitalizing on any goal-scoring opportunities with an end score of 5-0.
“Definitely a good team,” head coach Kyle Beggs. “I told them and the girls that I think that they were one of the best teams that we faced all year. So it was really good to see an opponent like that. Know where we want to be, and kind of see where we are now, and say this is what we’ve got to get to compete in district.”
On the other hand, the boys were able to find the net but in the end, would lose 4-1.
“I just don’t think we were in the right headspace,” senior Lucas Godoy said. “We underestimated Heritage’s strength this year.”
