Beyond Valentine themed decorations, the library is taking the holiday one step further with their blind date with a book selections.
The books are wrapped to disguise the title, once checked out, the student can unwrap the book and dive into their reading date.
Librarian Chelsea Hamilton hopes this encourages students to read outside of their comfort zones and discover new favorites.
“Surprises are always exciting and interesting,” Hamilton said. “So if you know that you want a romance book, you’re in here to get it no matter what. Just adds a little bit of an extra twist to you getting something that you want to read.”
The blind date books are available throughout the month of February.
