In their final game of District 11-5A play before the playoffs begin, the boys’ basketball team (9-5) defeated the Lebanon Trail TrailBlazers (0-14) 42-25 for the tenth consecutive time on the road Tuesday, capping a 22-11 regular season record with a three-game winning streak.
Assistant coach Robert Wilson sees the Redhawks’ one-point lead at the end of the first half as a learning opportunity for the team.
“The biggest takeaway is that even when things look bleak, there’s always a way for us to climb out of the hole,” Wilson said. “We’d of course, prefer not to get ourselves into a situation like we did, but it was a great learning experience for the team.”
Senior Eshan Kumar was the Redhawk’s second-highest scorer, with 11 points.
“Obviously it’s sad to think that I’ll never put on that uniform at a home game again but it was super nice to help my team get the win,” Kumar said.
