Wingspan: What got you interested in soccer?

Lychywek: “Honestly I just played a bunch of different sports, and kind of ended up just latching on soccer.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite part about soccer?

Lychywek: “My favorite part about soccer is being a part of a team and learning everything about each other because we struggle together and go through hard times. We always find a way to bring ourselves back and work it out.”

Wingspan:  How do you prepare for a game?

Lychywek: “It’s all about the mentality for me so I just think about what I need to do and what I need to accomplish so I can get it done in the game.”

Wingspan: What goals have you set for this season?

Lychywek: “Right now we need to focus on getting into playoffs. I think that’s a major goal and once we get into playoffs, get past the first round because we’ve always had trouble doing that in the past.”

Wingspan: Do you play soccer outside of school?

Lychywek:  “Yeah, I play club soccer for Solar.”

Wingspan: What position do you play?

Lychywek: “I play forward and center-mid.”

Wingspan: What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Lychywek: “I think just getting able to play the sport has been a blessing.”

Wingspan: How are you going to pursue soccer in the future?

Lychywek: “I plan on playing in college, and I have been looking into playing professional soccer in Europe.”
