The HOSA Club is working with the Carter Blood Care organization to assist in Friday’s blood drive in the gym.

The students in HOSA will be helping out with the administration process of the drive such as: taking up the donors forms, making sure the donors drink plenty of fluids and eat after they donate, as well as walking the students back to their classes after they donate in case they pass out or feel nauseous.

With this opportunity, HOSA members get to have hands on experience rather than classroom learning.

“I think it’s really important that we have like a hands on experience because we really get to see the impact of our actions on other people in need,” junior HOSA officer Abby Dasgupta said. “It’s one thing to read about something but it’s another thing to actually be in there, being a part of the process that’s saving a lot of lives.”
