For the past ten years, the school’s student body has been lead by juniors and seniors, but this year student council has created the underclassman student council which gives sophomores and freshmen the chance to have more of a say in school events.

“If they are planning or want to be in stuco that helps them understand a glimpse of what it’s gonna be like,” junior Kendall Pulaski said. “They help us like, they helped us for hoco with decorations and for the food can drive they are helping us sort cans. It’s more hands to help around the school.”

Students who are in the underclassmen student council are there to help out the actual student council and to give them an idea of what the freshman and sophomores want and what their needs are.

In addition, the club can also give the students an idea of what student council will be like when they become juniors or seniors.

“I did underclassmen StuCo because I want to do actual StuCo next year,” sophomore Emma Crampton said. “It gives you a really good idea of what is going to go on because you get help out what they do.”
