The Frisco Education Foundation is hosting its 18th annual Scholarship Night Thursday at the Dr Pepper Arena from 7 – 9 p.m.

The foundation has awarded over $4.2 million dollars in college scholarships given by outside donors in the name of their organization, corporation, group or in honor of an individual. The scholarships vary in amounts and are awarded on a basis of academic achievement, volunteer and community service and other criteria designated by donors.

Graduating seniors were notified mid-April 2017 if they are a recipient.

“Tonight we will be meeting and having dinner with our donors,” senior Roxanne Rinaldi said. “I am eternally grateful for the scholarship because it’s a step closer to being able to achieve my dreams without financial limitations. I’m attending Texas Woman’s University in the fall to study elementary education, and once I’m finished with college I’ll be able to give back to Frisco by teaching here.”
