Paying school fees online is now more expensive

Making payments on MyPaymentsPlus is a bit more expensive this year as each time a purchase is made on the site, there will now be a four percent convenience fee for credit card processing.

This convenience fee has always been in place, however the district used to pay the fee for the students.

“After the TRE didn’t pass, the district has looked at ways to increase revenue or to cut costs, so we can keep the programs and services that kids have now,” principal Ashley Rainwater said. “One place they looked at was MyPaymentsPlus. With looking at funding that was one area that they wanted to put it back and have the students and the parents help cover that cost.”

Students that don’t want to use MyPaymentsPlus and want to avoid the convenience fee can pay with cash or check payable to Liberty High School.

Payments can be delivered to Christi Wilson in room B101 and they can also take the money to the cafeteria rather than paying online.
