Marching bands on showcase Tuesday

All nine Frisco ISD schools will showcase their talents and work they’ve been putting in since summer in front of parents, family, friends and students, at The Star in Frisco from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday as part of the Frisco ISD Marching Band Showcase.

The event showcases what the band is working on for this year’s competition season.

“Everyday after school when we have rehearsal we’re just taking it step by step trying to get stronger and build consistency to just build ourselves to be able to provide and do what we need to do to support each other on the field,” said bass clarinet player Brittany O’Reilly. “We feel like we’re in a pretty good spot right now. We still have to keep building and building because we know we hold ourselves to a higher level so we just know we have a long way to go but we’re getting there everyday.”

The band performed here last year and games throughout the year giving them prior experience playing in the ford center at the star.

Tickets to FISD marching band showcase are four dollars for the general public.
