Frisco ISD made budget cuts over the summer that left the school with a smaller custodial staff this year, which has led to more work being done everyday by the custodians and the work taking longer than it did last year.

Seeing this, the baseball team decided to help out the janitors by taking a couple minutes out of their day to makes the custodials staff’s job a little easier.

“Mr. Budz bring some tables over for the after football game barbecue they were having and when we got there we realized they only needed 6 or 7 of our players, so the other 35 kids were just standing around,” head baseball coach Scott McGarrh said. “Then Fletcher Osborne took it upon himself to start stacking chairs so Fletcher and Tanner started stacking chairs and everyone else just followed suit.”

“Before fourth period we’ll go as a baseball team and stack the chairs on top of the tables so the custodial staff doesn’t have to do all that and what would take them like 45 minutes takes us about 5.” player Alex Garza said. “So it really takes a lot of stress off of them and makes it a lot easier.”
