Drumline competed in their final competition on Saturday, it was also their first competition of the year as the group had a busy day.

To start the day, drumline participated in the Frisco Community Parade and then made their way to lewisville for the Lewisville Drumline Invitational Saturday evening.

Playing musical selections from their marching band show, Dystopia, the group placed seventh in their division.

After taking first in the competition last year, some drumline members were disappointed in their finish, but senior Edward Zeng believes it was something to be appreciated.

“I’m really happy about how we ended the season,” Zeng said. “I think we did good. We had a good run. We made a couple mistakes, but that’s normal. As far as the last run is concerned, I’ll miss it, but I’ll move on.”

With the brief drumline season over, the group will now focus on all-region band auditions on December 2 and 4.
