Wrestling and hockey seasons winding down

It’s the last dual meet of the season for the wrestling teams when travel down the street to take on the Titans.

Both the boys and girls are in action in their final dual before the district tournament on February 9th.

Centennial enters the match ranked number 6 in the state by coaches on wrestlingtexas.com with the marquee match up on the boys side expected to come in the 120 pound weight class as senior Broderick Green, ranked number 3 in the state on texaswrestling.com takes on Centennial senior Gregory Coapstick, ranked number 2 in the state.

Meanwhile, the Redhawks girls look to protect their Texas Wrestling number 1 ranking in the state ,with junior Savannah West, the number 1 ranked girl at 110 pounds  hoping to continue her hot streak.

The action starts at 6 p.M.

Over in Euless, the Frisco hockey team is back on the ice for a game against Southlake Carroll.

The team featuring players through the Frisco ISD is coming off a 4 to 1 win against Jesuit last week.

The state tournament is next, taking place February 2nd through 4th.

The puck drops at 7 p.M.
