Due to a high chance of precipitation on Tuesday, the softball and baseball games have been rescheduled for Monday night with the softball team travelling to Reedy for a 5:30 p.m. start and baseball playing at Lone Star for a 7:30 p.m. start.

“We’ve just been preparing; doing everything we can to win,” junior baseball player Fletcher Osborne said. “Basically practicing the things that we are bad at. Mainly we just work on fielding.”

Despite the change in schedule, head baseball coach Scott McGarrh is confident for the upcoming games against the Rangers who sit in fourth place in District 13-5A.

“I think we have a chance to go out and get a couple wins,” McGarrh said. “I think Lone Star was probably picked to finish in the top four in district but if we play like we did Friday night, I think we have a chance to get both this week.”

Although a change in the schedule isn’t ideal, senior John Fish is excited for having a Friday open even if it means having to accommodate a shortened time table.

“It’s an adjustment but we will make it work,” Fish said. “We’ve been working on our defense and hitting, typically the same thing. Not getting more reps like hitting, that’s the only thing that might affect us.”
