The girls’ soccer team playoff run came to an end Thursday against McKinney North, in which the Redhawks fell to the Bulldogs, 1-0.

The girls finish the season with a 9-9-3 record and third place in District 13-5A.

Meanwhile, several members of the girls’ track team traveled to Austin over the weekend to take part in the Texas Relays.

Senior Carrie Fish placed 5th in the 3200m final, junior Nissi Kabonho placed 14th in the high jump, and sophomore Amelia Jauregui placed 17th in the 1600m final.

On the diamond, softball faced Wakeland to open the second half of district play.

Despite totaling eight hits, the Redhawks fell to the first place Wolverines, 5-3.

Baseball was also in action but the Redhawks came up short, losing to Lone Star 10-2.

Junior Tim Wynia hit a home run, and senior Dylan Strater notched a double in the effort.
