Red Rhythm performed Friday and Saturday night in their final performances of the year. Not only were there solo and group acts, Red Rhythm performers also performed “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor with their fathers.

The show not only included dancing, but also included a singing performance of the song “Time After Time” by Cyndi Lauper sung by senior Andrea Cobos. Other songs included were “Beat It” by Michael Jackson, “Call Me” by Blondie, “Purple Rain” by Prince, “Vogue” by Madonna, and “Wipeout” by Surfaris.

Before performances, scenes and montages from popular 80’s movies played on the screen to introduce the dance such as Rocky, Breakfast Club, and Dirty Dancing. Senior Red Rhythm performer Kirsten Mallari thought it was a good show, but had a bittersweet time performing.

“It was stressful at first but when we got on stage we just performed like we normally practice,” Mallari said. “It just felt like a normal dance day just amplified so it was a good experience but its my last year so it was bittersweet but it was good.”
