The 2018 Frisco Education Foundation Scholarship Night is at Dr Pepper Arena starting at 7 p.M.

The program offers Frisco ISD graduating high school seniors the opportunity to apply for dozens of scholarships offered through the foundation.

For senior Jessica Lim, any kind of scholarship can be a big help.

“A scholarship is meaningful to me because it gives me the chance to further my education and I also feel that scholarships, going to college is a big investment and for me and my family I think it would be a lot,” senior Jessica Lim said. “It would help them with the cost of me going to education and I just think that like even any kind of scholarship like if it’s just like anywhere, like even $500 would be a big help because it would help with like textbooks and things so I think it would be really good to just go for any scholarships you can.”

Since 1999, the Frisco Education Foundation has awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships.

Graduating seniors applied for scholarships back in December, with scholarships awarded on the basis of academic achievement, community involvement, volunteer efforts and other criteria designated by donors.
