The Dustin Rodriguez Cross Country Meet in Garland scheduled for Friday morning was canceled Thursday as last week’s weather has washed out the course at Audubon Park. With the course retaining too much water, the park was closed, however, head boys’ cross country coach Ben Manning has scheduled another meet for Saturday.

Despite an extra day of rest, this can hurt more than help.

“Having this meet canceled, it’s a little frustrating, but coach Manning did find a meet to replace it,” junior Amelia Jauregui said. “It did affect our training a little bit because we accommodated our training for a meet to be held on Friday. But because we’re running on Saturday, it wasn’t as timed up.”
