First place in District 9-5A, and a seven game winning streak are on the line Friday at 5:30 p.m. when the volleyball team hosts the Lebanon Trail Blazers at The Nest, with both teams boasting a 7-1 district record.

“I’m expecting us to get up and play hard,” head volleyball coach Ui Womble said. “Lebanon Trail has done a really good job of getting themselves established this season. They kind of jumped up and surprised some people and we’ve been watching them. I’m expecting it to be a good fight.”

The players are ready for the tough competition and remain confident in their ability as a team.

“I’m expecting everybody to play very well because there is a good turn out expected and we always play well with big crowds,” junior Emily Nickel said. “I’m hoping to achieve good team unity and overall a win against Lebanon Trail.”
