Choir students from all over the district came together for the first ever choir festival on Saturday at Stonebriar Community Church.

“I thought it was a really great oppurtunity to be with among the greatest singers in the district and have Dr. Hightower there and providing lots of good insight about singing and everything,” senior Jessica Gordon said. “It was really cool to have that opportunity with other students in Frisco ISD.”

By being able to meet other choir students and work with Dr. Hightower, students gained insightful tips.

“The festival was so much fun because we were able to work with other great singers from other choirs across the district,” junior Gillian Bryant said. “Dr. Hightower was really cool to work with.”

Choir director Toni Ugolini believes that the event helped bring all aspects of choir together.

“It was really great watching everybody from all the schools come together and sing,” Ugolini said. “Just hearing that full sound and getting to see and all the different instrumental arrangements here learning things from watching Dr. Allen Hightower conduct them and then seeing it all come together was special.”
